Julian Higgins is a Los Angeles-based film and television director.
His short films have screened at over a hundred festivals around the globe and won dozens of prizes and competitions, including the Student Academy Awards, Student Emmy Awards, and Ron Howard’s “Project Imagination” contest. His most recent short, WINTER LIGHT, was a top ten finalist for the Oscar.
On the strength of his film work, Julian made his television directing debut – at the age of 26 – with one of the final episodes of the celebrated drama series, HOUSE. He has since executive produced and directed two seasons of Awesomeness TV’s anthology drama series GUIDANCE.
A New Hampshire native, Julian fell in love with theater, acting, and filmmaking at an early age. He pursued all three at Emerson College in Boston before earning an MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute and settling in Los Angeles.
He is currently working on his first feature.
